Wow, what a workout. It was all in all less than 40 minutes, I burned 650 calories, and probably had an average heartrate in the 150's. It felt great! The jump rope thing is new to me, and I've managed to master the traditional jump rope, and even some of the single legged jumping, but the lung/leap both legs going in different directions??? Yikes! I suppose by day 30 I will be there. For the jumping over the agility ladder - I was ablet to jump 4 boxes vertically, and 2 horizontally - those are no joke. Tomorrow is a day of rest, and my aching quads and back are looking forward to it.
Now for the good news. I went for a routine mamogram this morning and the technician asked me if I went to the gym because "you don't see muscles like that on a mamogram very often". Ha! I think I would have preferred if I walked in and she said "wow, I can really tell you work out", but I'll take a deep boob look to see my impressive pecks. :)
good lord Laura... be careful... you want to be fit and uninjured... and btw... you look awesome... and you've given me blog motivation.... xxoo
ReplyDelete(when it comes to jump rope, I can only turn and chant motivating rhymes... I have NEVER been able to coordinate that one!!)
